Co-presented with MAK Center for Art and Architecture at the Schindler House

Due to circumstances beyond our control, this event has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience.

In conjunction with the current gallery exhibition Decolonizing Architecture, this panel discussion brings together Nicola Perugini, research partner of DAAR; Iain Boal of the Bay Area collective RETORT and co-author of Afflicted Powers: Capital and Spectacle in a New Age of War; architect and UCSD professor Teddy Cruz whose work centers around urban research/design issues of the U.S.-Mexico border; and Geoff Manaugh of BLDGBLOG; for a conversation that centers on the role of architecture as a tool for engagement and activism that responds to current political contexts.

Moderated by MAK Center Director Kimberli Meyer.

Funded in part with generous support from the Nimoy Foundation, the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, and the haudenschildGarage.
