Lavender Diamond and Indian Jewelry

Post-performance music in the lounge by Crooked Cowboy

"...endearingly wide-eyed enthusiasm—[Stark] finally has the chance to bring her romantic take on pop to the people." Rolling Stone

"A full-on spiritual ascension ... [Indian Jewelry are] the kind of people that make me think bands are cool again." Chicago Reader

Houston-to-L.A. transplants Indian Jewelry and folk rockers Lavender Diamond bring the sound of the L.A. underground to REDCAT for a unique night of music. Lavender Diamond's folk-pop sound and soaring vocals of Becky Stark prompted a rave in Rolling Stone as one of the "10 Artists to Watch in 2007." Indian Jewelry has a core threesome that rebel against traditional song structure by mixing drum machines, noise, percussion, loops, guitars, keyboards and more. Through the years, the group has taken on different names and members and amassed a swarm of devotees. Following the show, the mysterious and always entertaining Crooked Cowboy will play in the REDCAT Lounge.
