Linda Perhacs

Linda Perhacs and Friends

[Parallelograms is] one of the most mystifying and beautiful moments of the psychedelic era, on par with any outré work of the time.” LA Weekly

World premiere

Co-presented with Draw Pictures and dublab

This evening of experimental exploration is the first-ever public performance by enigmatic folk singer Linda Perhacs, whose legendary 1970 album Parallelograms is an uncanny, ruminative masterpiece of psychedelia. She is joined by an eclectic mix of artists, who chime in with projected artwork, film, dance and musical interpretations of her work. Perhacs and her collaborators also highlight ideas from the book that inspired Parallelograms: the Theosophist manifesto Thought Forms, written by Annie Besant in 1901. This special performance is part of a series of events across Los Angeles to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of dublab, the trailblazing Los Angeles-based web radio collective beloved by an ever-growing international audience for its future roots sound and the creative freedom of its DJs.
