Reynold Levy

Reynold Levy: Yours for the Asking

"Reynold Levy is a master at persuading people to give money--lots of money--to worthy causes." Tom Brokaw

As president of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts for the past six years, Reynold Levy has revitalized one of the nation's premier cultural institutions by setting a clear mission and raising more than $1 billion to carry out that charge. CalArts President Steven D. Lavine welcomes Dr. Levy for a presentation based on the recently published Yours for the Asking: An Indispensable Guide to Fundraising and Management, the latter's prescient manual for nonprofits. Speaking in the context of the current global financial crisis, the Lincoln Center chief offers timely--and time-proven--advice for nonprofit leaders as he draws on an ample supply of insight and practical know-how gathered at the head of organizations such as the International Rescue Committee, the AT&T Foundation, the 92nd Street Y, and the Task Force on the New York City Fiscal Crisis. He reveals key secrets to attracting donors large and small, locating the intersection of business and nonprofit interests, unlocking the mysteries of foundation giving--and fundraising in stormy weather. Dr. Levy's talk is followed by a book signing.
